At the turn of the digital age, crowdfunding campaigns are allowing ambitious projects to flourish more than ever, and thanks to their miraculous helping hand, Charlie Watch has collected over 10,000 euros in 10 days on the Indiegogo platform.

“Charlie who?,” you might say. Charlie Watch, a French brand with a certain je ne sais quoi that has conquered the interest and hearts of many over the globe, audaciously boasting the baseline: “We Love Jetlag” and offering a beautiful line of watches. We personally love them, and we’ll tell you why.

Elegant watches for Friends and co.

Ambroise and Adrien, two old friends from ESSEC University in France realised some time ago that the watchmaking market was stagnant : the watches were either extremely beautiful and expensive, or affordable but lacking aesthetic values. Frustrated with this upsetting phenomenon, they decided to create an alternative by offering refined pieces of clockmaking that could suit everyone’s wallet, and their friends’ first and foremost ! And it worked. Proof that watches can come at a cost indeed, but an affordable one.

Thanks to this, Charlie Watch was born. Here are some of the pluses we picked out about the up-and-coming French brand. We love their elegant watches with polished and pure faces, stainless steel and a hint of rose or black gold ; adore their interchangeable bracelets easily adapting to our daily moods and #OOTDs ; relish their friendly prices eyeing our future Christmas expenses ; and find their candid campaign featuring their closest friends simply charming.

Towards total transparency

But our two entrepreneurs’ principal pride is that of being entirely transparent on the fabrication of their watches. Indeed, their international suppliers (from places such as Switzerland, Japan, Italy etc.) were selected especially for their skill and precision, and have already collaborated with brands on a global scale. The watches are put together piece by piece manually in a small Parisian atelier so that all three of the brand’s prerequisites are fulfilled: quality, flexibility and reactivity.
