She’s the ultimate Parisian.

Inès de la Fressange has walked the runways of the world’s top fashion designers; she has been photographed by the most talented ones, and she lends her support, today, to the most influential people. One cannot think of her without mentioning Chanel, elegance is a virtue that fits her to perfection. When it comes to fashion, Inès has seen and has done it all but she is not through with her interpretation of it. Whether she is radiating femininity in a man’s shirt or as chic as it gets in simple jeans, we admire her sophisticated style that she masters so naturally. Inès making a fashion faux-pas ? Unheard of !

What we like the most about Inès are her little tidbits of advice, those little fashion tips that always come out right! For you, we have selected a few that we present, here, with pleasure:

“If the bottom is baggy, the top has to be a tightly fit. And if the bottom is tight, the top has to be loose.” (Source: La Parisienne)

“Instead of wearing women’s scarves, dig up men scarves in flea-markets that will match anything.” (Source: La Parisienne)

« What’s important is to be yourself. When I started out as a model for Chanel, I was a brunette when all the runway stars were blondes. I would smile; have fun while strutting down the catwalk, though other models were hieratic. I think that my success comes from the fact that I was different and had imagination.” (Source: Paris Match)

“It’s better to carry a wicker basket than a fake designer bag! Forgery is a fashion faux-pas. » (Source:  La Parisienne)

« I keep ignoring the notion of seasonal collections and fashion trends, systematically renewed from one season to the other. » (Source: Inès de la Fressange.fr)

« Wear a pearl or rhinestone bracelet when wearing a rock style t-shirt. It will prevent you from looking like you try so hard to be a rebel…when you’re not even part of a band.” (Source: La Parisienne)

Inès, with your natural character, your determination, your simplicity and your innate fashion sense, we cannot thank you enough for representing French elegance so well !
